Making 3D Shapes

Room 26 have been learning all about 2D and 3D shapes.

Boss For The Day!

This year room 26 have been focusing on creative writing. Miss Moran created a funny picture of Mr Burt that we had to write about and a student asked "I wonder what it would be like to be the principal like Mr Burt for the day..."

We were so inspired and decided to do some writing about the funny things we would do and the serious stuff too! From this piece of writing, we all shared our work with each other and decided we wanted to make it 'come to life.' We think Mr Burt does an amazing job but this is what we would do if we were the 'Boss For The Day.'

Blog Commenting

 We have been so lucky to have Mrs Grant come in every Monday morning this year to support us with our iPad learning. We have been practicing our blog commenting and we are getting so good! We have learnt to always start with a greeting, introduce ourselves and then say something positive. We would love if you checked out our blogs and left us a positive comment. Sports Rotations

Every Tuesday afternoon, Team 2 have been 'Movin your Body' which is our inquiry focus this term. Here we are playing games with Miss Moran and Ms Tumahai, we had so much fun and can't wait until next Tuesday!

Mr Jacobsen on the Digger!

We loved watching Mr Jacobsen on the digger, we wanted to have a turn! 
Last term we were learning about 'I like to move it!' and Atelea noticed how the digger was pushing the mud. Selesa told the class about the lever on the digger! 

Auckland Rugby

This week we were very lucky to have Auckland Rugby come and do some skills and drills with us! 

We had so much fun and we were movin' our body which is what our inquiry is about this term.

Our MOTAT Trip!

Team 2 went to MOTAT last week and we had so much fun learning about forces! We learnt about our inquiry 'I like to move it' and about how we affect the way things move in our world.

Buddy Reading with Room 8!

We have been so lucky to have the Year 6's from Miss Parrant's class read with us this term!

Friday clubs!

Every friday we start the day with clubs, each teacher from our space takes a club and we get to rotate through the awesome clubs. Ms Tumahai takes bike riding, Ms Gaston does cooking, Mrs Carter does gardening and Miss Moran does rippa rugby. We all love it and have so much fun! Here are some photos of us in our clubs...

Kiwisport

We had our first Kiwisport lesson for the year and we had so much fun with our coach, we were learning how to balance. We learnt that we are ALWAYS balancing which we thought was pretty cool! Here are some photos of all the fun we had.

Welcome to Room 26! We are currently a class of 19 year 2 learners and our teacher is Miss Moran. We are all so excited for this year and we even get to be in a new building! We are loving it!!
